At a potato processor in the Netherlands, Taneco supplied a WWT20 as a compact replacement for the existing settling basins. The customer wanted to eliminate periodic dredging and was looking for a low-maintenance installation that would fully take over the settling process. The compact WWT20 was assembled and installed on-site within a single day.
Within the WWT20, sand is efficiently separated via a hydrocyclone. The remaining sludge is processed in a settling tank and further thickened with a screw press system. In addition, polymer consumption is fully automated, ensuring the correct dosage at all times and enabling a stable and efficient dewatering process.
With this configuration, the WWT20 provides a compact and reliable solution that reduces operational workload while supporting the reuse of wash water.
