For a potato processor in Belgium, Taneco installed a WWT100 — a treatment installation for purifying the wash water from a processing line handling 100 tons of potatoes per hour.

In the process, sand is efficiently removed by means of a Linatex-lined cyclone. The sludge is then separated using a belt thickener, the Taneco 125L. A decanter subsequently ensures the continuous dewatering of the thickened sludge, guaranteeing a stable sludge treatment process.

In addition, two large water buffers were supplied for storing the purified wash water, ensuring sufficient capacity is available for reuse within production.
