Potato starch factory in Denmark

For a potato starch factory in Denmark, Taneco installed a water treatment system with a processing capacity of 200 tons of potatoes per hour. In the first stage of the process, sand is removed from the dirty water using two cyclones, which provide efficient and robust sand separation.

After this step, polymer is added to flocculate the sludge water. Approximately 100 m³/hour of wash water is then fed to the Belt Thickener, equipped with a 2.50-meter-wide filter belt. The thickened sludge is collected in a hopper and pumped further for additional processing.
