Taneco has many years of experience in supplying Gravity Belt Thickeners. The Taneco Gravity Belt Thickener is the ideal machine for thickening sludge. The GBT is produced in the material Polypropylene, because it is corrosion and chemical resistant material and experiences little wear during operations.
The Taneco GBT has an infeed side, a dewatering table and a beltwash system. The input tray is designed to provide additional mixing between washwater and chemicals, which can be added tot he washwater. The input tray also ensures that the washwater is spread over the entire width of the dewatering table. A spiral belt runs over the dewatering table, which collects the sludge, while the pure water will be filtered.
To ensure that the sludge will be thickened even better, chicanes are used to keep the sludge ‘in movement’. When a customer demand an even higher dry solids percentage, a threshold system can be installed at the end of the dewatering table. A scraper is also placed at the end of the dewatering table, to get the sludge off of the spiral belt. A belt cleaning system ensures that the sieve belt is cleaned before new sludge is pumped over it, in order to keep the permeability of the sieve belt optimal.
